Executive Member of Lynx Entertainment Richie Mensah debunked rumors and assertions that his artiste Kuami Eugene stole his latest tune “Confusion” from Malian singer Sidiki Diabate’s “Fais Moi Confiance” song.
Richie Mensah speaking with Sammy Flex on Zylofon FM’s Showbiz Agenda stated that the brouhaha surrounding the “Confusion” song was caused by a blogger and what Kuami Eugene did wasn’t theft because it’s done in music all the time.
“There is reference and inspiration in Music, Kuami Eugene didn’t steal the song, he took inspiration from three people, Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi and Sidiki Diabate, he even tweeted it, this is something done in Music all the time.”
Supporting his argument he mentioned songs that also did a similar thing to that of Kuami Eugene’s Confusion song.
“I can list about ten current songs which has parts of other songs in them, Joey B’s latest song sweetie pie, Ebony’s recent song Maame hw3 ‘I hate you so much right now’ is from a song Beyonce did which she also took from R. Kelly and Wizkid’s Manya.”
Ending his conversation with the Media outlet, Richie concluded that anyone who makes that statement of Kuami Eugene stealing the song is just being hypocritical.
