Under privileged students of the University of Development Studies suffers woefully under the Schools Third Trimester Field Practical Programme (TTFPP).
The TTFPP designed by the university is to bring students from different faculties or schools together to live and work in selected communities.
The flagship programme enables the students of the communities to work together to identify development challenges and opportunities to formulate specific interventions to address them.
However, lack of incentives, allowances and support from appropriate quarters is making life unbearable for under privilege students who even struggle to pay their fees.
Information we gathered reveals the School doesn’t support these students whatsoever, they are left to search for accommodation, feed themselves and do everything on their own.
These and many other horrible conditions like lack of electricity and good water supply is making life a living hell for these students who only wants to make these deprived communities better.
They resume school few weeks after this service and will have to settle their fees after they have spent the little they have on the community services.
Hence, they are pleading to the government and school authorities to come to their aid.
